Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Force Multipliers in Their Communities. Some of the Fastest Growing Small Businesses in the Nation. These are the graduates of the Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP).
VIP START Panel, April 2022
VIP Arms Vets to WIN in the Federal Marketplace by teaching business owners how to compete, comply, and perform. With a network of industry experts from Prime Contractors, Government Partners, and VIP Alumni; when a company graduates from VIP, they are not just completing a course, they are joining a community focused on their success.
VIP programs are offered at no cost to all service-disabled veteran-owned and veteran-owned small businesses who qualify. The willingness of our veterans and their families to sacrifice so much for the wellbeing of our country has earned them our enduring gratitude. VIP will never ask a veteran to pay for services.
Pamela Monroe, Assistant to the Director, Subcontracting Program Manager, Office of Small Business Programs; VIP Graduate OBAN Corporation; Jackie Robinson-Burnette, Live Oak Bank; and Jerry Godwin, Veterans Business Specialist, Office of Veterans Business Development, U.S. Small Business Administration
Suzanne Raheb, Corporate Supplier Diversity And Regulatory Compliance Leader, Lockheed Martin Corporation; and Alice Lessman, CEO, Signalink.
With the support of the Montgomery County Chamber Community Foundation through public-private partnerships made up of grants from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the State of Maryland, and a corporate sponsorship from Lockheed Martin - VIP offers entrepreneurial training programs with proven records of success. In our thirteen years of service, VIP has trained over 2,000 veteran-owned companies and continues to train 250 new companies each year.
In addition to our partners, VIP also depends on the support of businesses who wish to support the veteran business community, and VIP Alumni who pay it forward for future veteran companies. And VIP’s extraordinary industry, government, and alumni instructors generously volunteer their time and talent to each VIP class.
When you support VIP, you don’t just support one veteran-owned company, you support all veteran-owned companies working to accelerate their success; and the community working together to support them.
